Policies and Procedures

Facilities Maintenance operates in accordance with Nashville State Community College policies and state regulations governing safety, accessibility, and use of college facilities.

  • Safety and Building Access: Compliance with fire codes, ADA accessibility, and approved use of classrooms, labs, offices, and common spaces.
  • Maintenance Priorities: Emergencies and safety issues receive immediate attention. High-priority items that affect instruction or critical operations are addressed as quickly as possible. Routine maintenance and improvement projects are scheduled based on available staff, materials, and campus needs.
  • Work Request and Approval: Certain requests, such as renovations, office moves, installation of new fixtures or equipment, or changes to building systems, may require approval from campus leadership or Facilities Administration before work begins.
